DAY-1 : Mt.Fuji and Kawaguchiko Lake
The World Heritage Mountain with height at 3,776 meter. The symbol of Japan. Fu = Not, Ji = No.2, therefore, Fuji is the best. Official climbing season is July and August. Winter months, January and February have the cleanest air with longest visibilities.

DAY-2 : Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen
Nikko has both nature and architecture. Mountains, waterfalls, outside hot-spring along the river. Tokugawa Shogun Shrine is one of the World Heritage sites. Some relaxation hot-spring in Kinugawa Koen as well nearby monkey mountain.

DAY-3 : Kamakura (and Yokohama China Town)

DAY-4 : Hakone

DAY-5 : Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree
Asakusa is one of the historic town. Sensouji Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Japanese traditional crafts Wakomono and Japanese sweets Wagashi can be found along Nakamise and Shin-Nakamise. Kaminarimon, Kappabashi, Skytree are all in nice walk area. Tokyo Ryokan is at #19 on this map and hidden gems on another side.
DAY-6 : Ueno Park and Yanaka
One day is not enough for Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, National Museum of Nature and Science, National Museum of Western Art, The Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Shinobazu Pond, Shitamachi Museum, which are all in Ueno Park. Yanaka + Nezu + Sendagi have nostalgia of Tokyo.
DAY-7 : Sumo Tournament and Edo-Tokyo Museum
Taito-ku and Sumida-ku is devided by Sumida river. East side finds Sumo stable house (where rikishi or sumo wrestler is training), Chanko restaurant and Edo-Tokyo Museum. Sumo tournament is held in January, May and September. Can combine your tour with DAY-5 (slowly) and DAY-6 (quickly) as well as River walk and River run.
DAY-8 : Toyosu and Tsukiji and Adachi Market + Hama-rikyu Gardens
Jetlag to wake up 3AM in the morning? Let's take this as an advantage to visit Tuna Auction. It is better plan ahead or Roppongi night can be a liaison. Hamarikyu Garden is just next to the old Tsukiji Market. Ginza including Kabuki-za Theater is in short walk distance, too.
DAY-9 : Tokyo Bay Cruise and Odaiba
Asakusa has direct ferry route to both Hamarikyu Garden and Tokyo Bay Odaiba. The front view on automated Yurikamome tram is unforgettable, day and night. Big Sight, Zepp Tokyo, Toyota Megaweb, Palette Town, Diver City, Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hot Springs, Aqua City, Hotel Nikko Tokyo, Grand Pacific Le Daiba, Asimo.
DAY-10 : Imperial Palace and Tokyo central district
Once The Beatles performed in Budokan (1966), Kitanomarukoen (Kitanomaru park). Jogging and bicycling along the moat is Tokyo businessmen's hobby and relaxation. Tokyo main station (Marunouchi side) is Amsterdam central station's sister. National Theater, Supreme Court, Diet Building, all the Ministries are located.
DAY-11 : Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya and Roppongi
Lost in Tokyo at Park Hyatt Hotel, free observation deck on the metropolitan government building, pray peace at Meiji Jingu Shrine, Costume-Play at Yoyogi park, young fashion on Takeshita dori, Zen style at Nezu Museum, shopping at Omotesando Hills and Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi Hills. And Hachiko dog? Needs three days to cover fully.
DAY-12 : Tokyo Disney Land and Tokyo Disney Sea
Annual passport is JPY61,000 each or JPY89,000 for both parks. Otherwise, you may purchase real ticket (no coupon but actual ticket printable at your office and home) at this official website. Are you a fan of Hello Kitty, too? Sanrio Puroland should not be excluded in your Tokyo itinerary, then.
DAY-13 : Manga, Anime and "Otaku" Tour
Studio Ghibli Museum (located along with nice zoo park), Doraemon Museum, Toei Animation Gallery, Nerima Animation Site, Pokemon Center Tokyo, Bandai, Cos-Play cannot be fulfilled in just one day. DAY-14 : Nature of Mt.Takao
Need some air with cedar aroma and pine perfume? It is only 50km west of downtown Tokyo. In another words, monkeys are also enjoying their life here in Tokyo (^^) Keio Line has direct service from Shinjuku. Night time has super view of Tokyo Lights! Onsen hot spring is right at Takaosanguchi station. This is also a highlight along with Nikko and Kinugawa.
DAY-15 : Shopping
No need to mention but Tokyo is like London, NYC, Paris, Roma, Hong Kong, Singapore or Bangkok, yes, shopping heaven. Takashimaya, Mitsukoshi, Isetan, Matsuzakaya, Matsuya, Daimaru, Seibu, Tobu, Tokyu, Odakyu, Keio, MUJI, UNIQLO, Marui (their logo looks like 0101 or OIOI), Loft, Lumine, Parco, 109 and more. Biggest outlet mall is Kisarazu. Come to Tokyo with your luggage empty!
DAY-16 : Japanese Culture Experience
Noh, Kabuki, Bunraku, tea ceremony, Sanja Matsuri festival, Jidai Matsuri festival, Sumo, Kimono trial, Edo Shitamachi Traditional Crafts Museum, pottery, urushi, washi, origami, hataori, yes, Culture Day in Tokyo. Asakusa is ideally located for all of above. Sport Day as well? J-league football and baseball games are fun to watch.
