Tokyo Ryokan is located in Asakusa, one of the Shitamachi towns in Tokyo, you
can experience the atmosphere of Edo, the
old Tokyo. It is 4 min. walk to nearest metro station
called Tawaramachi station (G18) on Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Asakusa station is about 8 min.
walk.
Easy access to many popular sightseeing spots
like Ueno (3 min.), Akihabara (5 min.), Tokyo
main station (15 min.), Ginza (16 min.),
Roppongi (20 min.), Shinjuku (25 min.), Harajuku
(25 min.), Shibuya (26 min.), and you can
also take ferry from Sumida River Park to
the Tokyo Bay area, for instance, to visit
Odaiba. Nikko can be reached by direct train
on Tobu Line from Asakusa station. There
are also direct connections to/from Narita
Airport and Haneda Airport. |

What is the fastest and easiest way to Tokyo
Ryokan from Narita Airport? |

The fastest and the easiest way to get to
Tokyo Ryokan, please take Keisei Skyliner (about 45 min., 2,400yen) to the
last stop, Keisei Ueno station (all Skyliner
is terminated at Keisei Ueno station). Change
at Ueno for Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Tawaramachi
station (G18), takes 3 min. costs 160yen.
Tokyo Ryokan is about 4 min. walk from Tawaramachi
station. For the easy access, please

Is there curfew? Do we have to vacate the
room during day time? |

There is no curfew. But please consider others
probably sleeping during night time. 'After
20:30', please advise us in advance, we shall
have you prepared for the key for the main
entrance, which should be done at your check-in
time. You are welcome to stay in your room
during day time until the last day of your
checking out. Check-out time is before 10:00AM,
please. |

Where can we put our luggages until our train/bus/airplane
leaves. Any charge? |

Please pack your luggage in good shape so
that we can keep our eyes on. It will be
securely stored in our lock-up place until
you leave for next destination, station/bus-stop/airport.
There is no charge. We are also happy to
keep yours while you travel around Japan
(until your second stay at Tokyo Ryokan),
in which case, we would kindly like to ask
you to pay the second stay room charge before
you leave. |

Does room have air-condition? Is there a
room with toilet and shower? |

Each room is heated in winter, cooled in
summer, at good eco temperature. There is
no extra cost for the air-condition. Shower
room (communal use with lock inside) is available
for 24 hours with hot/cold water. No extra
charge required. There is no en-suit, there
is no attached shower nor toilet. All facilities
are in communal use. |

Is the hot-spring (onsen) place nearby your
house real? Or just a public bath using tap water? |

It is the real onsen using hot-spring, mineral
water, from 1,000 meter underneath of Tokyo
city. Pictures and details in Japanese is
available at Jakotsuyu, please. It is only 450yen per one adult
(sauna costs extra 200yen) from 13:00 - 23:30,
except Tuesdays. |

Not inside Tokyo Ryokan, but at above mentioned
onsen place (please refer to A6 for Jakotsuyu),
there are coin operated laundry opening 9:00am
- 22:00, except Tuesdays and some national
holidays. |

Very sorry, we do not provide towel, bathrobe,
tooth brush, tooth paste, soap, shampoo.
Therefore, it is advisable to bring your
own, please. There is only one hair-dryer
available at the office for all three rooms.
No worry for basic night. There is a pillow
and sleeping facilities with sheet provided. |

We are sorry, but there is no meal served
at Tokyo Ryokan. Although, there are many
restaurants including Sushi, Tempra, Ramen,
Udon, Soba, Okonomiyaki, Monjayaki, Yakiniku,
Shabushabu, Sukiyaki, Unagi and Western,
Indian, Chinese, Korean as well, in a short

Heard that new access becomes available from
Narita Airport to downtown Tokyo? |

Yes, from July 17th onwards, there is new
train service,
fastest way to get into downtown
Tokyo from
Narita Airport. Please visit their
Keisei Line Official Page. Going back to the airport? Discount ticket
is available at our desk at JPY1,000 instead
of JPY1,200 (one way per adult by limited
express). |

Internet surfing is available with my own
lap top computer? |

There is no WIFI (no wireless link), but
high speed LAN with 100Mbps is available
direct connection to your computer at JPY100
every 20 minutes during our office hour (08:00-20:30).
No bring your own computer? No problem, you
may use our Sony VAIO desk top computer at
same rate (JPY100 every 20 minutes) during
our office hour. |
